Used Book Sale Part Deux

Just when you think the fun's over, you realize that the book sale continued for one last weekend. Not just any book sale weekend though...the best ever book sale weekend. Yes, Saturday was 1/2 off every book day and Sunday was .50 cents for every book day!!! So not kidding! Not realizing this when stopping back by the sale, it came as a wonderful surprise. While at the sale Saturday I was told about the Sunday deals so I only bought books that were priced $1 and less on the half-off Saturday and took my chances that the books I wanted for $2 upwards to $20 would still be there on Sunday. My gamble was a success. Most of the books I had seen the previous day were still there, now only .50 cents each, plus I found a ton more. A ton meaning...well...40!!! 40 books which equals $20! Saturday I bought 13books for $8. Last weekend as you all know the haul was 11 for $20. So, if anyone is keeping track, I believe that's 64 books for...drum roll please...$48!!!! Great times folks, great times...and best of all Great Deals!

Used Book Sale

My husband, Richard, woke me up early this morning and asked me if I wanted to head over to this book sale he heard about at one of the local high schools in Honolulu. Since acquiring books is one of our favorite things, I was like yes, hello, of course! What a SCOre!!! I'm so glad we went. I could have spent all day there (had we not had our 2 year old with us and had there not been over a hundred people crowded together) and I could have spent a ton of money! However, in the 20 min I did spend there and the $20 dollars I spent I am quite happy with my haul!
My favorite book of the day is this amazing Orchids book with 56 orchid plates! My plans are to eventually remove and frame all 56. They're absolutely gorgeous and since I only paid $1.50 for the book I don't feel too bad about disassembling it.
