Empty...

Well, it finally happened...all our stuff from our Hawaii house has been packed up and is now en route to Australia!

all that's left are two air mattresses and our luggage...

we'll be making camp here for two weeks and then we'll be spending two weeks in a hotel before leaving for Australia on August 14th...

it will be so nice to have an actual Hawaiian vacation before starting this new life changing adventure!

p.s. My Mom is coming for a visit, during the first week of August, to see us off, before we move even further away!  Can't wait!

Packing & Declarations...

So it begins...the packers will be at our storage unit in Texas packing up all the treasures we left behind when we decided to move back to Hawaii.

Lucky for us, (but perhaps not so lucky for her) my Mom lives right around the corner from our storage unit so she will be handling everything on the Texas end with the packers and then with the movers a few days later...Thanks Mom!

{this is the list of items that either must be declared or that are prohibited, when moving to Australia. This list stresses me out!  I feel bad that my Mom will have to be so vigilant while the packers are "re-packing" our storage...especially in to 100+ degree TX. summer heat!}

The action on the Hawaii end won't begin until July 14th, but the pace is definitely beginning to pick up around here!  So exciting and so nerve wracking!  I've just been busy organizing and cleaning, in preparation for the packers.
