Styling a Sofa

This photo shows how you can take a simple sofa and give it a little personality by adding a throw to the back and some interesting pillows.

I was thinking that I should look around for a great throw to send to my cousin to put on her white linen slipper sofa that we added to her home (still waiting for after photos). We found these beautiful green and white ikat throw pillows that we put on the sofa, but a great throw (folded and ran down the center) would be the perfect finishing touch.

Sorry for the look and quality of this photo, but this is the only photo I have of my cousins sofa and it's from my cell phone. I took a quick photo mid project to send to my husband to give him an idea of what we were up to. The shelves haven't been styled and the area rug is all wrinkled and you really can't tell that there is an awesome Moroccan pattern in the rug. Don't judge based on this photo! I just wanted to add it to this post to get the point across that a very basic sofa can be styled to pull the feel of a room together.

Just a little more info about this photo. The print leaning on the back of the sofa has now been custom framed. We went and picked out the framing and matting before I left, but I haven't seen the finished piece, but I heard that it's gorgeous! The shelves are a modern lacquered split bamboo (can't tell at all from this photo). Katina if you're reading this, I'm sorry for posting this photo!
