On New Years Eve we decided to walk around Waikiki and just soak-in the beauty. One of our favorite places to pop into is the Royal Hawaiian, just to stroll throughout the gorgeous hotel and the lush surrounding grounds.

The Royal Hawaiian also known as The Pink Palace has such a magical feel and with the the interiors having been updated in 2009 by the design firm Philpotts & Associates, it boasts a perfect mix of historical charm, exotic flare and updated appeal. I took a few photos during our little stroll.
The day we visited they had just set-up for a wedding (actually almost every time I've been there they've just set-up for a wedding somewhere on the grounds. Seems like a pretty magical place to say your I do's.

I've never stayed at the Royal Hawaiian, although I'd love to. Since I live in walking distance of it I "visit" the grounds often, but it would be nice to stay in one of the suites and lounge at the pool. This year is our 15th wedding anniversary, perhaps if we're still living on Oahu we should legitimately patron The Pink Palace.
