Yesterday, my husband took off from work early and we took our son over to Sandy's Beach to fly his kite and wade in some tide pools. The weather was a perfect 81 degrees, clear blue skies and slight trade winds. He saw sea snails, crabs, sea cucumbers and a few tropical fish and we got a few really great videos on our Flip of our little cutie!
While the boys were playing in a tide pool I wandered along the beach, picking up the occasional piece of coral and sea glass. It's a pretty big party beach and it's where the pro buggie boarders do their thing so there is the occasional broken bottle that gets tumbled around in the surf. But, my best find came as we were leaving. As I was walking out (being careful not to step on a fish hook or a piece of glass, not yet tumbled) I spotted one last piece of shimmering sea glass and bent down to find....

What "luck"...Ha! I was pretty amazed and quite lucky to find a piece of sea glass with the word luck still perfectly intact! Love it! I'm going to make it into a little pendant to wear as a necklace. My husband was amazed too...he, like me, loves it! Great afternoon flying a kite and finding treasures! ALOHA
