Mother's Day...

The morning started with my guys making me pancakes and with a vase full of beautiful flowers.  Then my four year old son handed me a little bag from one of my favorite shops Tree of Life.  My eyes must have gotten huge, when I pulled the dreamcatcher necklace from the bag, because my husband started to giggle.  My little guy looked so proud of himself, so I gave him a big smile, went on and on about how much I loved it and told him that I'd wear it the whole day.  After the little guy left the room, my husband told me that he tried to talk him into something else, but his mind was made up and he thought that I'd love it.
and really, who wouldn't love a giant gold dreamcatcher with big bright orange feathers!!!

after breakfast and gift giving we headed into the Blue Mountains to the botanical gardens.  The leaves had turned even more, from just a week ago and besides the 43 degree temp. it was a beautiful day.

after our hike through the botanical gardens we decided to take the picnic lunch, my husband packed and drive out of the mountains (to some warmer weather) to have our picnic.  Halfway down the mountain we spotted an apple orchard, so we pulled over to let our son pick some apples...

it was 53 degrees, at the orchard.  That's already 10 degrees warmer than the botanical gardens.  After the apple picking, we drove the rest of the way out of the mountains to a little park by our house and had our picnic by the river in 63 degree weather...

it was a wonderful Mother's Day!  Perfect!!!

  1. I personally LOVE the dreamcatcher necklace! I would totally wear that! Lucas got me a 'diamond' ring - very gaudy and huge. And MIGHT turn my finger green. But you know I'm wearing it!! <3 Happy Mother's Day!
